📣 The Luxury Collection Nanjing, Suning Palace
Unexpectedly family-friendly, with historical charm and gentle touches
Though not marketed as a "family hotel" 🏷️, its thoughtful details radiate care for families 🤩
- **The Traveler’s Library** 📍 Soaring bookshelves and skylight beams create a dreamy space—kids can flip through picture books while parents sip coffee and enjoy quiet reading time.
- **Black Swan Terrace** ➡️ On the third-floor Xiyuan Terrace, two elegant black swans glide by, framed by the Presidential Palace’s upturned eaves and the city skyline—a perfect "past-meets-present" photo op.
**Family fun without leaving the hotel**
- **Cultural mini-classes**
- **Six Dynasties Museum** (1-min walk): Interactive screens bring ancient artifacts to life, letting kids try "virtual archaeology."
- **Hallway treasure hunt**: Carpet patterns replicate Six Dynasties tile designs—spot hidden historical symbols with your little ones.
- **Garden swan-watching**: Wisteria blooms in late spring, and the covered walkways offer safe, photogenic play space.
Dinner at the hotel’s **Sunset Grill** 🏨 was a highlight—just in time for crayfish season! We devoured spicy, garlic, and Sichuan pepper flavors, plus adorable desserts 🧁. A small play area gave parents a breather.
Our 48 hours here felt like a step back in time. The kids adored the swans and history hunts, while I stole lazy afternoons in the library. This Mother’s Day, we found the perfect urban escape—where childhood wonder and grown-up relaxation weave together into a Nanjing daydream.
