Nanjing's New European-style Castle Hotel with a 4,000-acre Luxury Golf Course

Suning has invested heavily (with a 1 billion yuan renovation) to create its own private garden and social venue in the new era. CCD has pulled out all the stops to embody the "Western Concept, Eastern Realm" design philosophy (the final result closely resembles Tony Chi's style, with some techniques almost identical to Hong Kong's Rosewood). Originally dating back to 1929, this was China's first golf course, funded by the Republic of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and serving as Madame Soong May-ling's private retreat. Later, the property became the Sofitel Zhongshan Hotel before Suning spent a year and a half renovating it into the Suning Zhongshan Golf Resort Hotel (personally, it would fit perfectly as a Luxury Collection property, but the owner likely prefers full autonomy). CCD blends European aristocratic elegance with Nanjing's republican-era charm, using bronze tones, vintage furnishings, and sculptural lighting to reinterpret the contemporary essence of this ancient capital. The hotel features 262 rooms starting at 50 sqm, all with balconies offering mountain or golf course views, along with Zi Jin Ge Chinese Restaurant, Milano Italian Restaurant, Orchid Pavilion All-Day Dining, Lobby Lounge, Kuromori Japanese Cuisine, The Bar, and Triumph Music Bar. Additional amenities include a 12*24m indoor pool, Technogym fitness center, yoga studio, and a 27-hole international championship golf course.

The entire hotel evokes the atmosphere of a Downton Abbey hidden in the Zhongshan Mountains—quiet, luxurious, and truly secluded.
