Nanjing Hidden Gem Homestay Guide

On this trip to Nanjing, I stayed at the Journey Art Homestay (Nanjing Xinjiekou Branch), an art space that made me not want to leave at all! Not only is the transportation incredibly convenient, but the concierge service is comparable to a five-star hotel, making it the perfect choice for a city getaway🏙️

📍Prime Location:
The homestay is located at 334 Hongwu Road, just a 5-minute walk to the subway station, making it super convenient to visit popular spots like Confucius Temple and Xinjiekou. Craving a late-night snack? Just downstairs is an authentic Nanjing snack street, where you can enjoy duck blood vermicelli soup and salted duck anytime!

✨Design Details That Impress:
The moment you walk in, you’re amazed by the artistic vibe throughout the space – surrounded by greenery, tropical fish swimming in the aquarium, and even a talking parrot to chat with! The Mario-themed room we stayed in was a nostalgic childhood blast, and even the toilet was smart—this setup is top-notch!

🛏️More Comfortable Than Home:
The projector in the room turns into a private cinema, and the fresh air system keeps the air super clean. The sweetest surprise was finding a spot for aromatherapy and even a kids’ toothbrush (though I was alone, haha). The bedding is tested and super comfy, letting you sleep in naturally~

💁Heartwarming Concierge Service:
The 24-hour online concierge was my live Nanjing guide! From recommending authentic local food to helping with takeout, and even offering to take photos since I was alone. The best part is the free laundry and drying service, which was a lifesaver for my long trip!

📸Photo-Worthy Spots:
• Lobby’s aquarium wall – the blue light makes for a dreamy photo
• Rooftop garden – perfect for capturing panoramic views of Nanjing at dusk
• Themed room’s feature wall painting – guaranteed to get hundreds of likes on social media

⚠️Helpful Tips:
• The homestay is in the city center, so there might be some city noise at night; earplugs are recommended if you’re sensitive to sound
• Book in advance on Trip.com for frequent long-stay discounts
• Xinjiekou subway station is super accessible; getting a transit card is very convenient
• Plenty of trendy milk tea shops nearby, like Motea and Chayan Yuese, all within walking distance

Finally, a sincere compliment on the cleanliness here—the room was as clean as new when I checked in, even my OCD couldn’t find a flaw! If you’re coming to Nanjing and want a place that’s both unique and hassle-free, this is the one~
