Thoughts after a three-day trip to Nanjing
The first day
Morning: Old East Gate
On the first morning, we went to the old east gate. It is a famous historical landmark of Nanjing, with many ancient buildings inside, it feels like going back to ancient times. There are many souvenir shops around. I bought a few packs of Nanjing specialties, such as salted duck and osmanthus candy. I was really happy.
Noon: Nanjing Dapai Dang
After eating souvenirs, we went to the nearby Nanjing Tai Pai Dang. I must try Mei Ling congee. It's so delicious that I eat a bowl every day! ! !
Afternoon: Confucius Temple
After lunch, we went to Confucius Temple. There are many small shops selling handicrafts and souvenirs. The cultural atmosphere in the temple is very strong. Everyone is taking pictures and feeling the charm of traditional culture.
Evening: Nightboat lights
In the evening, we went to the Qinhuai River to see the night boat lights. The lights on the riverside are flashing and colorful, and various light boxes are erected on the small boats. It is really intoxicatingly beautiful. We sat in the boat and felt the breeze blowing, the whole mood was very relaxing.
The next day
Morning: Nanjing Museum
The next morning, we went to Nanjing Museum. There is a rich exhibition of artifacts inside, especially utensils and calligraphy and paintings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. We visited carefully and gained a deeper understanding of this history, though book ahead
Noon: Local snacks
There is a snack shop near the museum. We tried the little steamed buns. They have thin skin and plenty of filling. They have plenty of soup. They are really delicious! There is also Nanjing's salted duck, and duck blood vermicelli soup, which is delicious and everyone eats it with gusto.
#### Evening: Old Gate East
In the evening, we went to Laomendong, which has many specialty restaurants and small shops. We casually walked around, tried a few local snacks, and liked the famous beef halal dumplings the most.
The third day
Morning: Nanjing Wall
On the third day, we decided to go to the Nanjing Wall. It is one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in the country, and you can walk up to overlook the entire city of Nanjing with spectacular views. Walking on the city wall, you can feel the weight of history.
