Exploring Langxi Night Market in Nanning

Nanning boasts several morning and night markets, and this time I visited Langxi Night Market, which is relatively close to Qingxiu Mountain. Before heading there, I checked out some popular stalls recommended by others:

4⃣️ Xiao Zhong Thin-Skin Rolls

7⃣️ Master Lan’s Authentic Snail Noodles

Yue Xiaoman was particularly crowded. Even before nightfall, as the market was just starting to get lively, this stall already had a long queue. Liu Ji Honey-Glazed Ribs is located next to Yue Xiaoman. When I went to buy from them, they had just opened and were still grilling the ribs, so I had to wait while the crowd grew larger. Later, I tried the rolled rice noodles and found Master Lan’s stall, where I ordered a large portion of snail noodles with plenty of toppings and started enjoying my meal.

Although I didn’t get to try all the stalls I planned to, I managed to check out most of them. Yue Xiaoman and Liu Ji weren’t quite to my or my friend’s taste—too sweet for us. The rolled rice noodles were pretty average, somewhat similar to Fujian’s spring rolls. Surprisingly, Master Lan’s snail noodles turned out to be the highlight of the night! I hadn’t expected much, but they were incredibly delicious—definitely the best dish of the evening!
