Exploring Guangxi Museum

Visiting museums is the real deal! Checked in at Guangxi Museum and explored the cultural and creative area.

Another day of museum hopping! Since my stay in Nanning is short, I decided to visit the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum this time. I'll save the Ethnic Museum for another opportunity.

The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum is one of the first national first-class museums in China. It boasts a rich and diverse collection, covering various historical periods of Guangxi's development and evolution. Reservations are required through the official account of the "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum." Same-day reservations are possible, but for holidays and weekends, it's safer to book 2-3 days in advance.

The entrance is at the East Gate, and the museum has four floors. The permanent exhibitions are mainly on the second and third floors. The recommended visiting route is 2nd floor ➡️ 3rd floor ➡️ 1st floor. You can choose the sections that interest you most. Since I was short on time, I focused on the 1st and 2nd exhibition halls, which are highly recommended. The museum's treasures, including the Bronze Drum with Egret Pattern, the Bronze Phoenix Lamp with Feather Pattern, and the Large Bronze Horse, are displayed here.
