➡️Gokayama is located in the southwestern edge of Toyama Prefecture and is an area rich in nature.
The thatched houses with a high slope are called "Gassho-zukuri". Such precious folk houses can only be seen in the mountains and snowy areas around here in Japan.
➡️In 1995, Gokayama Gassho Village and Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture were registered as World Cultural Heritage.
➡️ Gokayama is the collective name for 40 small villages
