The "Renzhiguan Pass" where Han people stopped

Located at approximately 74.5km on Provincial Highway 14, heading towards Puli from Hehuan Mountain, is the Nantou scenic spot Renzhiguan. Its name derives from the boundary between the Seediq and Han Chinese communities of Wushe, and the phrase "renzhiguan" also means "no strangers allowed." Located upstream of Meixi River, the towering stone walls and the gurgling stream create a captivating scene, commemorating the historic battle of Renzhiguan. Despite its past, it remains one of Nantou's most beautiful attractions.
