The forest in my heart is at Xitou

Xitou Nature Education Park (Xitou Forest Recreation Area) is located in Fenghuang Valley, Lugu Township, Nantou County. It is named after the source of Beishi River. The park is surrounded by mountains on three sides and covers a vast area with an altitude of about 800~2000m. It is currently also the experimental forest area of ​​the College of Agriculture of National Taiwan University.
The park is home to precious tree species such as red cypress, ginkgo, and cypress, as well as thousands of herbaceous plants. There are also many forest trails and hiking trails in the park. The beauty of the environment is like a fairyland on earth. Hiking in the woods, with ancient trees towering into the clouds, is the most enjoyable forest bath for people who come here. Breathing the purest forest air, the body can get closer to the forest, and feel the beautiful natural posture of Xitou Forest more closely and more personally. The University Pond in the park was originally used as a wood storage pond during the Japanese logging period. Later, because it was taken over by the National Taiwan University, it was named University Pond and became a famous attraction in Xitou.
When you walk into the Xitou Nature Education Park, the lush and straight woods and the fresh phytoncides occupy every corner around us. No matter where you go, the forest of Xitou is always in your heart. #familytravel
