Popular Mountain in Tataka: A Relaxing Hike to Linzhi Mountain

Linzhi Mountain, with an elevation of 2,854 meters, is located at the border of Xinyi Township in Nantou County and Alishan Township in Chiayi County. Situated within the Tataka Recreation Area of Yushan National Park, the trail is approximately 2.1 kilometers long with minimal elevation gain, making it a favorite hiking route among visitors to the recreation area.

The summit of Linzhi Mountain offers an exceptional view from its triangulation point. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Yushan peaks, including the main peak, north peak, and west peak, as well as the surrounding mountain ranges. The scenery is breathtaking, with the Yushan main peak, west peak, and Alishan mountain range all visible in the distance.

Linzhi Mountain boasts scenery comparable to Taiwan's top 100 peaks. Although it lacks a triangulation point, it features a stone carving with the name "Linzhi Mountain." The trail is known for its stunning views and excellent visibility. After an initially steep uphill section, most of the hike is on gentle, wide hills, making it an ideal route for family-friendly outings and parent-child hikes.
