Wanfo Temple, located in Nansi District of Tainan City near Zengwen Reservoir, is often referred to as Taiwan's Angkor Wat. Built in 1987, the temple features a pagoda-style architecture with a grand and magnificent appearance. Another highlight of the temple is the "Xiao Putuo Mountain Zen Park," which has earned the nickname of Taiwan's Angkor Wat. The park boasts stone cave Buddha statues, weathered ancient city ruins, stone forest landscapes, stone wall carvings, and a unique natural beauty of stalactite caves. Visitors wishing to explore the park must book their visit online in advance; otherwise, they may find the gates closed. However, due to recent earthquakes in the Zixi area, some large rocks in the park have shifted, and for safety reasons, the park is temporarily closed.
