✨️Wat Chana Songkhram was originally a small temple called Wat Klang Na.

✨️During the reign of King Rama I, Somdet Phra Bowonratchao Maha Sura Singhanat gathered the Mon people and Mon monks who came to seek refuge in the royal temple to stay at this temple, called Wat Tong Pu.

✨️Later, King Rama I made this temple a temple for the Mon monks to reward the good deeds of the Mon soldiers in the army who were an important force in fighting the Burmese.

✨️Between 2328-2330, the Thais defeated the Burmese 3 times, so he gave the name Wat Chana Songkhram.
