Kofuku-ji Temple is located very close to the center of Nara Prefecture. In fact, this area was also the center of power in Nara in the past, and it is said that the warrior monks of Kofuku-ji Temple were so strong that they were feared by the people of Kyoto.

Nowadays, it is no longer a scary place, but has become a symbol of the city of Nara with its magnificent buildings and cute deer.

Kofuku-ji Temple has also been burned down twice in the past, and is currently on its third burn, which is how it remains to this day.
