Silka Far East Hotel: Budget-Friendly Stay in a Prime Location.

During my recent business trip to Hong Kong with a co-worker, We stayed at Silka Far East Hotel (香港遠東絲麗酒店). The location was excellent—just steps away from the Metro, shopping malls, plenty of eateries, and a variety of shops.

The rooms are small, as typical of Hong Kong standards, but very clean, tidy, and equipped with all I needed for a comfortable layover night. The affordable price was definitely the highlight, making it great value for money in such a convenient area.

Another pleasant surprise was the Dumpling House right opposite the hotel. Their Pork Dumplings and Cheese Pork Pan-Fried Dumplings were absolutely delicious—flavorful, generously filled, and served in big portions.

I also enjoyed a relaxing stroll at the Jockey Club Tak Wah Park, located just about 200m behind the hotel. This charming city park features a traditional Chinese-style garden with ponds full of colorful fish and turtles, and I even spotted some beautiful birds. The gentle sound of water fountains added to the peaceful atmosphere, offering a nice escape from the city’s bustle.
