Nara Park 🦌

Nara Park is a large public park filled with 1,200 deer. Around Nara Park, there are places selling deer food for 200 yen per set. Each set contains about 10 thin round plates. But when we unwrap the deer food, they have very good noses and will immediately come to us. We almost have no time to react.

Almost all of the deer have their antlers cut off so that they are not dangerous to people because they are very affectionate. They like to rub their heads against us to ask for snacks and sniff them. There are signs telling us what not to feed them: do not chase them with sticks or kick them (mostly children who have to be looked after by their parents). And if you bring a dog, if the dog barks, they will be a bit startled.
