Review of Novotel Nara

I recently stayed at the newly opened Novotel Nara and here are my impressions:

Since the hotel is brand new, both the interior and guest rooms are impeccably clean! The design is a blend of modern and traditional Japanese aesthetics, creating a stylish yet calming atmosphere.

For guests staying in the suite rooms or on the 8th and 9th floors in executive rooms, there is an exclusive executive lounge. It was relatively empty, allowing me to relax on the comfortable chairs and sofas. The lounge offers a variety of beers, which you can order at the counter, while wine and champagne are self-serve. There are also some light snacks available. Adjacent to the lounge is a rooftop terrace with an open and scenic view, which I believe is accessible to all guests.

The hotel also features a large public bath, a fitness center, and a kids' play area. The public bath can get crowded at times, but you can conveniently check the congestion status from your room. Each guest room is equipped with a bathroom that has a separate bathtub and shower area, allowing for a relaxing experience in your own space.

Breakfast is served in a bright and stylish restaurant, which has a completely different ambiance compared to the evening. While the variety of dishes isn’t extensive, it covers all the essentials.

For tourists, the hotel is conveniently located near bus stops for sightseeing buses and city buses, which cost only 100 yen to use.

The hotel has its own parking lot, but you can also park at the nearby convention center for a cheaper rate.

Situated along the picturesque Saho River, which is celebrated in the Manyoshu poetry collection for its beautiful cherry blossoms, staying here during cherry blossom season guarantees stunning views.
