Get ready to discover two gems: Nara, Japan, where ancient vibes meet stellar eats, and let’s start with my Nara experience — a blend of convenience, culture, and insane gyoza! 🥟✨
Top Spots to Visit in Nara:
Former JR Nara Station Building (1-1 Sanjohonmachi, 09:00-21:00): Snap pics of this historic spot and feel the retro rail vibes right in the city center.
Isagawa Shrine (18 Honkomoricho, 09:00-16:00): This peaceful shrine is a hidden gem for some zen time and a taste of authentic Japanese tradition.
Where I Stayed:
Super Hotel Jr Nara Ekimae Sanjo Dori (500-1, Sanjo-Cho): Literally across from JR Nara Station, so you can hop off your train and into your room in two minutes. The free breakfast was a highlight—fresh bread, salads, local goodies, and a view of Nara Station to kickstart your morning! Tip: Breakfast closes early, so don’t stroll in late.
Nara Eats You Can’t Miss:
Gyoza no Ohsho - Nara Sanjo (6-6 Aburasaka Jikatacho): Crispy gyoza, noodles, and quick, budget-friendly options—walkable from the station and tastier than you’d expect from a chain!
Yakitori Tori Tamura (油阪町2-19): Cozy and super-local; perfect for yakitori and a casual night with friends or solo after a long day exploring.
Getting Around:
Stay near JR Nara Station for max convenience—buses to Nara Park and main sites, plus food streets and shops, are steps away. Pro tip: Use local buses or simply walk—the city is super accessible and safe day or night!
