Naritasan Shinshoji Temple and Omotesando Street
When you think of Narita, the famous "Narita Airport," the gateway to the skies, often comes to mind.
But that's not all there is to see!
Here are some spots where you can enjoy Japanese culture, even on a half-day trip from the city center♪

① Naritasan Shinshoji Temple
📍Location: 1 Narita, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, 286-0023
A place where you can feel the essence of Japan, with a temple and a three-story pagoda. It is famous for its blessings in rituals like Goma fire ceremonies and warding off evil.
This spot is also highly revered in the Kabuki world, with strong faith from Kabuki actors like Ichikawa Danjuro.
Compared to places like Asakusa, it is relatively less crowded even on weekends, making it a relaxing and comfortable destination.
② Naritasan Omotesando Street
📍Location: 350-3 Honcho, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, 286-0026
The street leading to Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. On both sides, you'll find traditional souvenir shops and spots for street food, making it perfect for strolling and snacking 🙆♀️😋
The area offers a glimpse of an old castle town, reminiscent of places like Kawagoe or Kyoto.
③ Japanese Cuisine Kikuya
📍Location: 385 Nakamachi, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, 286-0027
A restaurant located along Naritasan Omotesando Street. It features private tatami rooms and exudes a traditional and elegant atmosphere.
You can enjoy grilled eel rice bowls here. It was delicious 😋
Considering the price of eel, the cost is relatively reasonable, making it a comfortable dining experience.
Founded in the 1700s, the building itself is charming and historic!
