Ready for a pyramid-packed adventure? 🏜️✨ Spent my entire day deep in Nazlet El-Semman, where the Giza Plateau gives you those history vibes and epic views you see in every travel guide!
Top Spots to Visit:
1. Pyramid of Teti (Saqarah, Al Badrashin, Giza; open all day) — Smaller than the others, but perfect for beating the crowds and getting a quiet look at ancient Egypt.
2. Pyramid of Menkaure (X4FH+2C8, Giza Governorate 3512201; 07:00-17:00) — The “little sibling” of the famous trio, with less foot traffic for your close-up shots.
3. Pyramid of Khafre (X4GJ+99V, Giza Governorate 3512201; 07:00-15:00) — The classic smooth-capped pyramid is a must-see! Make sure to check out both nearby temples.
4. Mortuary & Funerary Temples of Khafre (X4GM+92 and طريق القاهرة الاسكندرية الصحراوي, Giza; open till 17:00) — Insider tip: Get here early before tour buses roll in.
5. Giza Necropolis & Giza Plateau — The heart of the pyramids, perfect for photography lovers. Don’t miss the panoramic spot for insane pyramid views!
6. Lunch Break: Khufu’s Restaurant on the plateau is great for cooling off with a local dish while you stare at the monuments.
Tips:
Arrive before 9 AM for less crowded photos and cooler temps. Grab bottled water at any kiosk—Egyptian summers are brutal! Tickets are usually cash only, so bring small bills. The site is massive: wear comfy shoes and expect lots of sand and stairs.
Getting Around:
Uber works reliably here, and pick-up/drop-off is right at the entrance gates. Walk within the Plateau, or hire a horse cart for fun (negotiate prices first!).
Food:
Try grilled meats and fresh salads at Khufu’s Restaurant—they have amazing terrace views!
