Hikawa Shrine is located in Toyotama Minami, Nerima Ward.

The deity worshipped is

Susanoo no Mikoto

It is the guardian deity of the former Nakaarai village, and the founding date is unknown. The shrine is said to have been the main deity of Tenmangu Shrine, followed by Gozu Tenno. Later, a branch of the deity was enshrined from Hikawa Shrine, the Ichinomiya of Musashi Province in Omiya, and it became the current deity worshipped here.

At this shrine, there is a monument commemorating the first person to produce beer barley on a farm in Nerima, called "The Birthplace of Beer Barley."
