The Maya Gallery at the Yale University Museum

While visiting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I was preoccupied with the thought that it is the largest museum in the United States and also situated on the American continent, so it should have a considerable collection of Maya artifacts. To my surprise, I found none. Today, as I visited Yale, a surge of memory came over me, as if I had received a signal from a hidden treasure. Upon entering the museum, indeed, the many beloved objects in the Ancient Americas Gallery at the Yale University Museum caught my eye. Yale University Art Gallery
