Jinguashi, New Taipei City has a century-old history of gold mining, leaving behind many old buildings, tunnels, mining equipment, etc. from the gold mining period. Some of these buildings are now preserved in the "Gold Museum", allowing visitors to get a glimpse of the cultural and historical development of the mining industry over the past century.

There are many Japanese gardens and buildings preserved in the Gold Museum, among which the "Prince Hotel" is the most special. It belongs to the traditional Japanese academy style, integrated with Western space, forming the Japanese-Western eclectic architecture that was popular at the time.
