Appreciate the unique rock formations created by different sedimentary sandstones.

Taipei has been visited many times, and most of the attractions in the city have already been explored. So, for this quick trip, I decided to go on a self-guided tour in the suburbs 😎 The first stop was Yehliu Geopark, about a 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from downtown Taipei 🚍

At the entrance of the scenic area, there were already many seafood restaurants, as it was the peak season for Wanli crabs 🦀 It's perfect to replenish your energy after exploring the geopark. As you go further in, you'll find a large number of tour buses, mostly filled with Korean tourists. You are more likely to hear Korean than Mandarin in the park 😄

Most of the park consists of flat paths, with well-planned trails for visitors 🤗 Gradually, you can appreciate the unique rock formations created by different sedimentary sandstones. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the spectacular scenery stands out even more. The main viewing areas are in the first and second zones. The third zone requires some climbing ability, so proceed according to your capability👌
