A great half-day hike near Taipei. Wuliao Peak, one of the three major rock formations along with Emperor's Temple and Penholder Peak, is located in Sanxia. You can find the "Yuli Store" directly at the trailhead. Transportation is not very convenient. You can take a bus to the Jigong Temple intersection, but the service is infrequent. Driving is recommended. The journey takes about 3-5 hours, traversing an O-shaped path back to the trailhead. There's a five-story rope descent on the cliff's side. Not recommended for those with a fear of heights. Anti-abrasion gloves are required. Traffic jams can easily occur on the ridgeline trail during holidays. The view is excellent. Overall, it's a great trail for physical fitness.
