"Central Kwai Chung Park": A great place to go in spring, retaining the stone house office

Central Kwai Chung Park is located on San Kwai Street, Kwai Chung. There are many trees planted in the park, which provides shade and greenery. The park covers an area of ​​about 10 hectares and is built on the mountain. It has a natural and beautiful environment and is very popular among people who do morning exercises. 👍👍👍

The original site of the park was Ruifeng Ranch and Liang Fa Ranch. In the 1950s, these two ranches were the only ranches in the New Territories. In the 1980s, after the two ranches closed down, all the land was returned to the government and later developed into the Central Kwai Chung Park, with only the stone house retained as the park office.

The stone house is the only remaining building in Ruifeng Ranch. It was built around 1950. It is two stories high and has a rooftop platform. It is of modernist architectural style, with a rectangular composition, curved exterior walls, wide corridors and slender simple columns. The terrazzo staircase connecting the two floors is still well preserved. The stone house was once used as a villa and residence for the ranch owner's family. 👏👏👏
