The Museum of Modern Art, commonly known as MOMA, is one of the must-see tourist spots in New York City. Today, we'll introduce five must-see artworks from its vast art collection. 🫶
1️⃣"Campbell's Soup Cans" by Andy Warhol
Warhol's "Campbell's Soup Cans" series is one of his most iconic works. Released in 1962, it represents Warhol's pop art. It's a profound work, emphasizing the relationship between industrial mass production and art.
2️⃣"Starry Night" by Vincent van Gogh
This painting, one of Van Gogh's most famous and iconic, was created in 1889 while he was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France. It depicts the night sky as seen from the hospital window, featuring swirling stars, a moon, and a quiet village.
3️⃣"Les Demoiselles d'Avignon" by Pablo Picasso
This painting by Picasso is considered one of the most important works of 20th-century art. Completed in 1907, it shows Picasso establishing his style, a precursor to Cubism. It's one of Picasso's most recognizable paintings.
4️⃣"The Dream" by Henri Rousseau
This painting is one of Rousseau's most famous, showcasing his unique style and fantastical themes. Though completed in 1910, the colors remain timeless and appealing.
