The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City is a significant institution in the field of modern art. Since its founding in 1929, MoMA has undergone numerous relocations and renovations, ultimately residing on 35th Street in Manhattan, New York. The museum boasts over 150,000 works of art, 20,000 films, and 4 million film stills. Famous works include Van Gogh's "Starry Night," Picasso's "Les Demoiselles d'Avignon," Monet's "Water Lilies," Dalí's "The Persistence of Memory," and Matisse's "Dance." Its collection of masterpieces by leading contemporary artists from the 1880s onward creates a symphony of artistic creation, resonating with each other and inspiring deep admiration. A landmark institution in modern art, MoMA's forward-thinking approach has led to the design trends of its time. Its curatorial department encompasses seven departments: Architecture and Design, Film, Painting, Media and Performing Arts, Photography, Drawing and Sculpture, and Prints and Picture Books. MoMA established the world's first "Architecture and Design" department (founded in 1932), demonstrating its commitment to design and modern art. It also houses video game titles such as Tetris and Pokemon, and in 2015, acquired the world's first rainbow flag. It truly is a museum of art history!
