NY Thompson Central Park Hotel (with Lounge Access) Stay Review

I stayed at the Thompson Central Park Hotel in New York with lounge access.

Located just two blocks from Central Park, the hotel offers excellent accessibility while maintaining a quiet atmosphere.

Check-in was done at a dedicated counter located at the back. Guests use a security pass to access the upper floors, and the lounge is exclusively available to hotel guests.

The food in the lounge changes throughout the day, and you can enjoy unlimited servings at any time. Alcohol during lunch hours is charged, but soft drinks like cola, juice, and bottled mineral water are all free-flow. Although not shown in the photos, there were pasta, salads, and fruits available as well, making it unnecessary to go out for shopping.

The room was comfortable and well-equipped with amenities, including plenty of towels. A high-end espresso machine was provided, and water was available for free, which is a great deal considering it costs at least $2 outside.

The large TV in the room displayed hotel information and restaurant menus, and it even supported Japanese, making it convenient for those who are not fluent in English. In-room dining was also excellent, with food delivered within 30 minutes even late at night. The portions were generous and delicious.

The restaurant on the first floor offered a variety of "Instagram-worthy" dishes. The food was tasty, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had three course options, and even the cheapest bread course shown in the photos was quite substantial. I took some leftovers for lunch and headed to a museum.

Considering the high costs of dining out, snacks, water, and coffee in New York, the hotel initially seemed expensive, but I realized it was actually a great value. I plan to stay here again in the future.

I checked various reviews online, and the negative ones likely pertain to standard rooms without lounge access. Not using the lounge is a missed opportunity, as the service is significantly better and offers great overall value.
