If you’re in Flores, make time to visit the traditional villages of Bena and Belaraghi. Bena is more popular and easier to access—great for a quick visit with amazing views and a clear look at local traditions. Belaraghi is quieter and less visited. You’ll need to hike a bit to get there, but it’s worth it if you want a more authentic, peaceful experience. Both villages have unique architecture, friendly locals, and a strong sense of culture. It’s a great way to learn about the Ngada people and see a different side of Flores.
