I traveled to Nha Trang alone. Perhaps it was because I wanted to escape the crowd, I found myself drawn to quiet places.
On the first day, I visited Truong Son Craft Village. It’s about a 20-minute motorbike ride from the city center. There’s an entrance fee (not expensive) and they even take photos for you. The hands-on experiences cost less than 10,000 won (around 50,000~100,000 VND, though they might not be available on weekdays). Artisans were crafting woodwork, embroidery, and pottery with their skilled hands. What stayed with me more than the souvenirs was the memory of their hand movements. The breeze was gentle, and it was a village perfect for a solitary walk.
The next day, I went to Po Nagar Cham Towers. The entrance fee is about 30,000 VND, and it’s open from 6 AM to 6 PM. Morning is better than the afternoon when the sun is strong. The scent of incense rising between the red bricks felt like a connection to ancient times. Watching people quietly pray, I paused for a moment too. The sea view from the top of the temple was calm, and it brought peace to my heart.
On the last day, I visited VinWonders Nha Trang. Since it’s on an island, you need to take a cable car to get there. The round-trip ticket, including the entrance fee, costs about 880,000 VND. The sea view from the cable car was truly picturesque. On the island, there were rides, a water park, and an aquarium. At first, being alone felt awkward, but I quickly got used to it. Everything sparkled, yet my heart felt strangely serene.
On the way back, as the sea breeze brushed my face, I thought to myself: being alone isn’t about loneliness, but perhaps about rediscovering my own pace.
