In Niigata, we first stopped off at the Baka-uke Observatory. From the observation deck, we could see the whole of Niigata city and the sea, and the view was especially beautiful at dusk. And it was free! The contrast between the sparkling lights of the cityscape and the vast sea was so striking that I couldn't help but stare at it for a long time. After that, we went to Minato Marche Pia and enjoyed fresh seafood and local specialties. There were many food booths, and everything was fresh and delicious, and we could feel the warmth of the local people. We were able to fully enjoy the sea and food of Niigata, and it was a fulfilling day.
