Nikko (Nikko 日光市) is located in Tochigi Prefecture, Kanto Region, in the western part of Japan, approximately 140 kilometers from Tokyo. It can be considered a heritage city. Nikko is divided into two major zones: the World Heritage Zone and the Natural Zone.
If you have little time, here is one place you should not miss. It is considered an important landmark, namely
Shinkyo Bridge (Shinkyō 神橋), a sacred bridge in the area of Futarasan Shrine, which is believed to be a river that divides the border between the human world and the sacred land. Because the bridge is red and the water is blue, if you go during the snowy season, it will be very beautiful.
