[Nikko] A spot lined with national treasures⭐Nikko Toshogu Shrine⭐

I will introduce "Nikko Toshogu Shrine" in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.

Nikko is so famous that Toshogu Shrine is the first place to say it.

The famous sculptures at Toshogu Shrine are the three monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil) and the sleeping cat.

The three monkeys are one of the sculptures that depict the life of a human being with monkeys, so it's good to look at all the monkeys' faces. It's like a story, so it's cute and useful.

The sleeping cat sculpture is at the entrance to the inner shrine.
In the inner shrine, there is the grave of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and you have to climb a long staircase to get there.
The whole way there is a climb, so be careful as it will take a lot of physical strength.
If you go to the inner shrine, be sure to make a wish at the "Kanae Cedar".
At the inner shrine, you can buy charms related to the sleeping cat and the Kanae Cedar, which are only available at the inner shrine.

Although photography is prohibited, you should also see the roaring dragon at the Honjido Hall of Toshogu Shrine. A dragon is painted on the ceiling, and if you clap a tree under the dragon's head, it will echo and sound like the dragon is roaring. You can also get the Nakiryu Goshuin only at the Toshogu Honjido.

Toshogu is well worth seeing as it has many national treasures and important cultural properties.
