Over 400 years of historical heritage @ Nikko Toshogu Shrine

Japan's Nikko Toshogu Shrine was rebuilt from 1934 to 1936. It is luxurious and splendid and has always been a very important presence for the Japanese. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 due to its special architecture, historic religion, and unique Japanese beliefs that have been passed down to this day.

There is a torii gate at the entrance of Toshogu Shrine, which consists of several stones, and a clear concave line can be seen above the light surface is the stone-to-stone joint, because such a structure can mitigate the impact of earthquakes. After passing the torii gate is the five-story pagoda on the left hand side. The towering five-story pagoda building has a very high presence and is a hotspot for photography. The most famous of the buildings in Toshogu is Yangmingmon, the contrast of gold and white colors makes people feel very luxurious.

Finally, we came to Niarasan Shrine on the west side of Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Both are integral to the Temple of Sunlight and Temple, and are listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, along with the Lunwangji Temple built at the same time. Niarasan Shrine has a history of more than 1,200 years. In recent years, it has become very popular for praying for blessings and spiritual luck.
