🏯【Nikko Toshogu Shrine】A visit to the World Heritage site of sleeping cats and Yomeimon Gate, divine beauty

Nikko Toshogu Shrine, located in the mountains of Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, is a mausoleum dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, and is one of Japan's leading power spots, where brilliantly colored beauty comes together.
This place, which has also been registered as a "World Heritage Site," is home to history, art, faith, and a mysterious tranquility.

⛩️When you pass through the gorgeous Yomeimon Gate, your eyes will be caught by a number of intricate and overwhelming sculptures.
There are more than 500 carvings, including the three monkeys of "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil."
The "sleeping cat" is a symbol of tranquility, and on the back there is a carving of a sparrow. It represents an "ideal world" where cats can live peacefully even when they are sleeping.

🌲Just walking along the cedar trees and stone pavement on the approach to the shrine will calm your mind.
The nature of the four seasons is also attractive, with fresh greenery in spring and autumn leaves beautifully enveloping the main hall.

📍Access: About 10 minutes by bus from JR/Tobu "Nikko Station" (get off at "Nishi-sando")
🕊️Visiting hours: 8:00-17:00 (varies depending on the season)
🎫Admission fee: 1,600 yen for adults (includes main hall, Yomeimon Gate, and sleeping cat)

Why not reunite with quiet prayer in a space that embodies the Japanese spirit and aesthetic sense?
