Ningbo City Walk: All Beautiful Cities Have Something in Common

As this is a short trip, the Ningbo city walk is all about hitting the highlights:
🌟【Drum Tower】The highlight is a city gate that combines Chinese and Western styles. Each floor reveals the history of Ningbo from ancient times to the present. It may seem like a "freak" of a building, but it is also a kind of avant-garde art. You can check in at Zicheng Coffee on the city wall. The signature coffee has the word "Zicheng" on it, and it tastes good (similar to Starbucks Mocha).
🌟【Chenghuang Temple】You should visit at night, as there is a New Year Lantern Festival and a food street (with lots of food) that make it lively and full of New Year temple fair atmosphere. But visiting in the morning is also good. The decoration of Chenghuang Temple is really magnificent, and you can feel how rich this city is.
🌟【Tianyi Pavilion】Many people visit for the title of Tianyi Pavilion, and so did I, but the truth is that there is nothing to see, and it is easy to get lost. Historically, Tianyi Pavilion was indeed amazing, from the courtyard design to the book collection skills, it was first-class even in modern times. But you can't see these things just by visiting. Perhaps it is to let modern people experience the hardships of the past, when officials and dignitaries begged Mr. Fan to let them see the library but were refused.
🌟【Old Bund】Although there are many foreigners at the Old Bund, it is the Old Bund, older than the Bund in Shanghai, and the starting point of Jianzhen's eastward journey. In addition to the confluence of the three rivers, the main attraction is the European-style buildings, including consulates, foreign firms, post offices, customs, and private residences of wealthy merchants. The exquisite level is comparable to Shamian Island, but the space is much more open. Taking a photo of the reflection of the Catholic Church is a must.
