Ligu Lake is located in Ligu Lake Town, Ningxia County, Lijiang City. Although the traffic is a little winding, it is far away from the hustle and bustle, and the environment is really first-class. The lake is surrounded by mountains and mesmerizing blue water. It is known as the "Daughter Country of the East". Not only can you enjoy the tranquil natural scenery, but you can also experience the unique matriarchal culture of the Mosuo people and feel the slow pace of life different from the city.

Trip recommendations/tour routes
You can start by strolling around the lake in the morning, it is recommended to rent a bicycle or walk slowly around the lakeside villages and canyons. Along the way, you will see wooden houses and swanky bridges with the characteristic Mosuo ethnic group, as well as wildflowers blooming by the lake, which is beautiful all year round. Afterwards, you can take a boat out of the lake and experience the “pig trough boat” operated by the Mosuo people – the lake is calm and the surrounding mountain scenery is reflected in the water.

If time permits, it is recommended to go around the lake (the total length of the road around the lake is about 50 kilometers), drive or charter along the lake to visit the main attractions, including the Lover's Tree, Grass Sea, Rigg Island and Walking Wedding Bridge. Since it is open all day year round, it is very convenient to watch the sunrise or sunset, and the lake is most worth taking pictures when it is flooded.

- Walking Wedding Bridge: A symbol of "walking marriage" for Mosuo men and women.
- Rigg Peninsula: A peninsula protruding from the lake, with very eye-catching boats and village views, it is a popular photo spot.

- Lover's Tree: Two large trees that depend on each other, the legend has a romantic meaning, and is a must-visit landmark for couples.

Tips and Notes
1. Visiting in the off-season (April to June, September to November) is recommended to avoid the peak summer crowds and enjoy the lake view more quietly.
2. The temperature difference between day and night is large, morning and evening to bring a jacket.
3. Mobile signal in the Lake District is sometimes weak, it is recommended to download the map in advance.
4. Maintain respect for the local customs of the Mosuo people.
5. There are many observation decks and camping spots on the lakeshore, and accommodation can be booked in advance if you plan to stay overnight.
