Jigokudani

Jigokudani, also known as Hell Valley, is an area with heat from volcanic craters and is the source of many hot springs and onsens. This makes Noboribetsu the number one onsen town in Hokkaido. Inside, there are viewpoints where you can see the heat vents caused by volcanic reactions, and there are also wooden bridges that allow you to walk down to closely observe the hot springs. Notably, Hell Valley is the filming location for the movie 'Fan Day'.
