Wat Luang Pho Phra Sai, Nong Khai Province

No one would be unfamiliar with the famous temple of Nong Khai, Wat Pho Chai, also known as Wat Luang Pho Phra Sai. This temple has been a significant cultural and spiritual landmark of the province for over hundreds of years.

Nong Khai is a province bordering Laos, our neighboring country, separated by the Mekong River. Just a short distance across the river, and you are in Laos. Today, we stopped by to pay respects and worship the sacred icon of Nong Khai, a must-visit for anyone traveling to this province.

Wat Pho Chai is conveniently located in the heart of Nong Khai city. The city itself is not very large, making it easy to travel around. You can even walk from the temple to the Mekong River. The town is peaceful and serene, which I personally enjoy. If you ever have the chance to visit Nong Khai, I highly recommend coming to pay respects and make a wish to Luang Pho Phra Sai.
