This campground is truly enormous, boasting 35 cabins, two summerhouses, a mountain cabin, and five apartments. Twelve of the cabins are basic, while the others and apartments are of a higher standard, equipped with showers, toilets, and dishwashers. All cabins and apartments feature outdoor areas with garden furniture and offer views of Lake Strynsvatn and the surrounding mountains. We opted for the most basic camping cottage. The owner quoted us NOK 1,300 and NOK 1,800 respectively, differing in size and amenities. Showers offered unlimited time, no coins required, and plenty of hot water. Each cabin also had a kitchenette with all utensils and utensils, and most importantly, a sink. However, there was no toilet or bathroom. The shared bathroom was spacious and clean, with separate wet and dry areas. The women's bathroom has a hairdryer (the men's doesn't). There's also a children's play area outdoors, complete with swings, a large trampoline, beach volleyball, and a mini-climbing area. There was also a cherry tree laden with fruit outside our cabin. My sister picked some before leaving and said they were sour and sweet. This large, complex campground is nestled along the hillside, offering accommodations for tents, campervans, and long-term rentals of campervans and cabins. It caters to all needs. Before leaving, we drove to the highest point for a panoramic view of the campground, Lake Strynsvatn, and the surrounding mountains.
[Camp Rules]:
Check in: 3:00 PM
Check out: 12:00 PM
The cabins must be cleaned before departure. If you prefer not to do the final cleaning yourself, such as making the beds and sweeping the floor, you must pay NOK 150. ✅ Camping Grounds
✅ Vending Machine (basic ingredients, snacks, drinks, popsicles like eggs, caviar, toothpaste, cheese, sauces, and even regular gas cans), but they're all more expensive than outside.
✅ Cafe
✅ Street Food Truck, serving kebabs, burgers with fries, and hot dogs (open during peak season).
[Cost]
Tent camping for 2 people: NOK 290
Small camping cottage for 4: NOK 1000 per night. However, the staff asked if we had our own sleeping bags, so we didn't have to pay for a set of sheets (probably for personal hygiene). Norwegian cabins always ask if you have your own sheets. If you don't have a sleeping bag, you can buy disposable sheets online in Taiwan. Although disposable, they feel lightweight and should be durable. If you don't have a sleeping bag, you'll need to purchase a blanket.
The official website lists the price as NOK 1460, which states that a duvet and pillow are provided, and that bed linens, towels, and cleaning are all included.
The cabins have two sets of bunk beds, are heated, and have a kitchen sink, making cooking and washing up convenient.
The shared bathrooms are coin-free for showering, but do require coins for washing and drying clothes. Most campsites in Norway accept credit cards for coins.

[Shared Bathroom]
There is a standard bathroom and an accessible bathroom that's the same size as the room. I originally planned to shower in the accessible bathroom, as it was larger, but I found there was no hot water, so I had to give up. We went back to the girls' bathroom to shower. The separate wet and dry areas were also great, and there was no coin-operated service. ✅ Shower: No coins required
Showerhead: Hose-type, not wall-mounted
✅ Hair dryer: Provided in the women's bathroom, not the men's
✅ Uniquely, there's also a sauna
[Washing & Drying]

Because the cabin is heated, we usually wash and dry our clothes afterward, sometimes only drying them for the minimum amount of time, leaving them to air dry overnight in the cabin's heated area.
