A long-established bookstore in Paris that Hemingway apparently frequented๐ค๐๐ค

Because of my job, I can't help but be interested in bookstores and libraries when I travel, so I'm posting about a bookstore in Paris that I haven't posted about yet (I went there a year ago)๐๐ฉท
#ShakespeareandCompany is a historic bookstore located on the left bank of the Seine in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, and not only does it sell books, it also has a library specializing in English literature.
It was originally opened in 1919 as a bookstore specializing in English literature to support American writers living in Paris.
In addition to books, this tote bag is also famous and I've been using it ever since I bought it๐โ๏ธ
It's a large size, so I use just this for 1-night, 2-day trips around Japan๐ซก
And it's very durable!! .

When I work in the "editing" business, I feel the weight of each and every book.
It takes at least six months to make a book, and sometimes several years.
It takes a lot of work from the author, production managers, sales people, and many other people in various departments in the company, and it takes a lot of work to finally complete a work.
But of course it doesn't end there.
When people buy it online or in a real store,
it becomes something for the people who pick it up,
and only then does one process complete.
It never sells in silence,
(though maybe there are rare miracles like that ๐)
Every day I think about various things and face the question of how to reach as many people as possible.
I think that's true for any job.
The other day, when I visited a bookstore for an event for a work I'm in charge of,
the bookstore said to me, "We'll sell even more!"
and I was really happy to hear that.
Of course, he said that because he trusts the author, but it's nothing but reassuring that he believes in what I've created and wants to help me spread it. It was a moment when I realized that work is something people do together. For me, a bookstore was a place to go, but when I realized that this job has made it a place that welcomes me, my heart warmed. I have to work harder. I've strayed far from the #shakespeareandcompany story, but that's all I wanted to say about how amazing it is that a bookstore can last so long in the publishing industry, which is known as a declining industry. That's why, even though I'm a minimalist, I prefer to buy books in paper form. (I buy the digital version too ๐๐)

Later on, I realized that I hadn't posted anything about my trip to Paris properly,
so I've put together a list of recommended spots,
so if you're going to Paris, please save it and use it โบ๏ธ
It was so cute and funใผใผ
