Must-Visit Destination in Life: Ginzan Onsen

Ginzan Onsen is located in Yamagata prefecture, Obanazawa city, a small town not far from Miyagi prefecture.
How to get there - Since there is no need to worry about snow in summer, it is recommended to rent a car and set the GPS to go directly to Ginza Onsen. If traveling from Sendai city, it takes about 2 hours. When you arrive at the onsen town, you must park your car in the designated area of the hotel and walk in.
If you are going to go in the morning and return in the evening, I think it may be too early. You have not yet absorbed the atmosphere. I recommend booking accommodation 2-3 months in advance because it is really popular. They are all Japanese-style ryokans.
When talking about Ginzan Onsen, everyone will think of an old onsen town surrounded by falling white snow. The atmosphere is like a fairy tale or a cartoon from Studio Ghibli. But Ginzan Onsen in the hottest summer has a good atmosphere and is just as beautiful as in winter. The waterfall behind the onsen is powerful and very cool. Plus, during this time, you can also eat the famous Ozawaban watermelon. The flesh is juicy, sweet, and delicious. It is the most delicious watermelon I have ever eaten.
As far as I've eaten
Score - 10 out of 10. Once in a lifetime, everyone should visit.
