Inujima is an island in the Seto Inland Sea, located just a 10-minute boat ride from Hoden Port in Okayama Prefecture.
The Inujima Seirensho Art Museum repurposes the ruins of an old refinery into a fascinating art space. Visitors can experience a mysterious journey as they walk through dark corridors toward the exit, with intriguing surprises awaiting when they look back.
Additionally, the museum features a mysterious space inspired by old island homes, offering a unique experience where each person perceives it differently. Though the number of exhibits is limited, the museum stimulates the senses and invites visitors to take their time and immerse themselves in the experience.
The refinery ruins are preserved as industrial heritage, including chimneys and building walls, making it an enjoyable spot for those who appreciate abandoned structures.
Art installations are scattered across the island. Being a small island, you can leisurely explore it in about two hours.
Near the dock, there is a souvenir shop and a café. While there are other dining options, they are limited, so it’s advisable to check their operating status beforehand.
