How to Tour Morigele River in Inner Mongolia

⏰ Time: September 29, 2025
🚗 Transportation: Self-driving
📅 Route: Depart from Hailar ➡️ Morigele River Scenic Area ➡️ Stay overnight in Erguna
▪️ Absolutely do not take the northern route! ❌
▪️ The southern route is the correct way to go 👇
🚘 Navigate directly to the scenic area (South Gate), a huge parking lot is waiting for you~
🎫 Tickets + shuttle bus all-in-one for ¥40 (round trip)

🚌 Shuttle Bus Stops
1⃣️ First stop: Viewing Platform No.1, first encounter with Erguna’s world-famous winding river
2⃣️ Second stop: Viewing Platform No.2, get up close to the grassland pastoral songs
3⃣️ Ultimate check-in spot: Viewing Platform No.3 (the highest point! Overlook the panoramic view of the nine bends and eighteen turns described by Lao She)
🏇 Surprises along the way:
The shuttle bus introduces herders and ranch experiences such as horseback riding and archery, with the option to get on and off midway.
⏳ Duration: About 1 hour self-drive from Hailar, 2-3 hours for sightseeing and photography, about 1.5 hours self-drive from Morigele to Erguna

💡 Tips:
📍 The so-called northern route is blocked and you can’t see the scenery. To see the scenery from the North Gate, you still need to buy a shuttle bus ticket to enter. Self-driving access is reportedly done by privately paying herders inside the scenic area. The cliff road will be closed in late September 2025, navigation to Mabei Mountain and the cliff is also inaccessible. The road condition from the North Gate to Erguna city is poor, proceed with caution!
📍 Drone photography is allowed
📍 Tickets must be checked at each viewing platform, and each can only be entered once
📍 Parking is free, and there is a shuttle bus back to Hailar
