Yutian Reservoir, located in Xianghu Town, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, China, was formerly known as Yuejin Reservoir. It is now a tourist attraction in Jingdezhen, known as the Yutian Lake Scenic Area. It is 12 kilometers from downtown Jingdezhen. Construction began in 1958 and boasts abundant water resources and lush vegetation. The reservoir boasts a vast surface area, with the main body stretching approximately 2.1 kilometers northeast-southwest and 0.7 kilometers northwest-southeast. The catchment area encompasses 100 hectares, 153 hectares during flood season, and 106 hectares for fish farming. The total storage capacity is 23 million cubic meters.
The entire reservoir area is shrouded in emerald peaks and shimmering blue waters, its surface area resembling a lake, with islands nestled within forests. Orange Island has been initially developed, offering leisure facilities, pavilions, and a fishing area. Other areas await development include the Fairy Bridge, Lion Mountain, and karst caves. The reservoir has a significant influence in Jingdezhen, attracting locals frequently visiting for sightseeing, fishing, and other leisure activities.
The Yutian Reservoir has a humid subtropical monsoon climate. Surrounded by mountains and connected to water, a large number of wild mandarin ducks inhabit and overwinter here every year. It is an ideal place for leisure and fishing, and suitable for travel in all seasons.
