[The northernmost tip of Honshu] Cape Oma and tuna bowl

Access: 1 hour by car from Shimokita Station on the JR Shimokita Line
Tourist attractions: Many shops and tuna bowl restaurants in the area

Oma Cape is the northernmost point of Honshu.

As you drive along the coastline, you will suddenly come across a monument and something like a small observation deck.

On a clear day, you can see Hokkaido on the opposite shore.

There are about 10 restaurants serving Oma tuna bowls in the area, and there is also a parking lot for them. I recommend parking your car there and doing a quick sightseeing.
Tuna bowls are tourist prices, about 2500-3000 yen. They also sell fatty tuna for takeaway, but it's not particularly cheap.
