The village is located close to the Weiqing Highway, and its gatehouse, gate arch, gate, city walls, and ancient trees are remarkably intact. The village boasts 40 households and over 120 people, all living in a compact, neatly arranged row of houses, facing each other from north to south and separated by a road. The houses are complete and symmetrical. There are no obvious modern buildings within the village, and all are traditionally built in the style of the Loess Plateau.
Upon arriving at the village entrance, visitors are greeted by a wooden signboard with the characters "Loess Plateau Folk Village" in bold. To the east, a loess plateau slopes beneath a ravine filled with fruit trees and a prominent ancient tea tree. To the west, the sturdy and intact Nantaochi Ancient Castle, built in the late Ming Dynasty, lies.
The warm temperate continental monsoon climate makes it suitable for travel in all four seasons.
