It is said that the Ryukyu King Shokei praised it as "a field that is big enough for ten thousand people to sit on," and so it was named "Manzamo." The grassy field is called Manzamo, and the scenic spot by the sea is called "Elephant's Nose."

A new facility opened in 2020. It is a recommended tourist spot with a parking lot (free), clean toilets, and easy-to-walk paths.
