Jiuziyan Scenic Area is one of the main scenic areas of Jiuhuashan Scenic Area in Anhui Province and the main scenic area of Jiuhuashan National Forest Park. It is a 4A-level scenic area. Jiuziyan Scenic Area was invested and built by the Qingyang County Forestry Bureau and is managed and operated by the Forest Park Management Office.
Jiuziyan Scenic Area began planning in 1996 and officially opened to the public on November 18 of that year. Since its opening, the area has raised significant capital to revitalize its internal operations and tap into the current market. The company subsequently registered Jiuhuashan Forest Tourism Co., Ltd. and Jiuziyan Cableway Co., Ltd. Key attractions, landscapes, and infrastructure include the park gate, the Grand Jiuhuashan Memorial Archway, ancient dwellings, a passenger cableway, a Buddhist Tea House, a parking lot, a shopping area, and public restrooms. Fixed assets total 30 million yuan, and the area currently employs 40 people.
The Jiuziyan Scenic Area boasts stunning mountain scenery, rivaling the grandeur of Huangshan Mountain, its peril comparable to Mount Huashan, and its beauty surpassing Huangshan Mountain. Tianhua Peak, the scenic area's main peak, stands at 1,084 meters, a masterpiece of nature on Jiuhua Mountain. Climbing its peak is like climbing a mountain peak, and admiring its scenery is like admiring a mountain scenery. The first line of the Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi's "Song of Jiuhua Mountain," "The strange peaks startle the soul at first sight," perfectly captures the essence of Tianhua Peak. Qibu Spring, described by the poet Li Bai as "a river of green water hanging from the sky," is a breathtaking feature of the scenic area. With a drop of over 80 meters and seven bends, its beauty and grandeur defy all rhetoric; its enduring theme is simply "the river of green water."
