As a beach island lover, Okinawa truly feels like my happy home! Here, you’ll find not only the super soothing jellyfish sea but also plenty of cultural sites and delicious food~Sharing my 5-day itinerary to help you explore this Japanese Hawaii island✨

🏝️Must-Visit Attractions
1️⃣ Shuri Castle Park
The symbol of the Ryukyu Kingdom in Okinawa, with distinctive red-tiled buildings! Don’t forget to check in at Shureimon Gate and take stunning photos in a kimono~It’s best to go in the morning when it’s less crowded for better shots

2️⃣ Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
Asia’s largest aquarium, the Kuroshio Sea viewing area is absolutely breathtaking! You can see whale sharks and manta rays. It’s recommended to visit around 3 PM when there are fewer people and the lighting is great

3️⃣ American Village
Colorful Ferris wheel and retro American-style buildings, every photo looks Instagram-worthy! The seaside promenade at sunset is especially romantic, and there are many unique shops to explore

4️⃣ Senagajima Island
A white Greek-style resort island with a seaside café perfect for photos! Less crowded and beautiful scenery, be sure to try the local Okinawa stir-fried bitter melon

5️⃣ Kouri Island
The spectacular sea-crossing bridge connecting to the main island! The heart-shaped reef is perfect for couples’ check-ins. Renting an electric bike to tour the island is highly recommended🚴

6️⃣ Manzamo
A cliffside sea-view spot with a unique elephant trunk-shaped rock! It’s very windy, so bring a jacket. The sunset here is stunning

7️⃣ Naminoue Shrine
Okinawa’s oldest shrine, with a red torii gate facing the sea that’s super healing! You can buy limited edition omamori charms and ema plaques

8️⃣ Kokusai Street
Okinawa’s busiest shopping street, a must-visit for souvenirs and food! Recommended treats include Shioya’s ice cream and purple sweet potato tarts. There are also performances at night

🚗 Transportation Tips:
Renting a car for self-driving is more convenient (remember to get an international driver’s license)
Bus services are infrequent, so check schedules in advance
In the city, the monorail is very convenient!
